Join us at 6:30 PM on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 for the Columbia Ave. Pop Up Workshop!
We're building on the foundation of Connectivity 2017, a healthy cities lecture, workshop and wayfinding walk. At Connectivity 2017, participants identified the creation of new active outdoor spaces in under-used areas along 105 Avenue as a top priority action (the event and workshop summary can be found here).
We want YOU to be part of bringing that vision to reality! At the Columbia Ave. Pop Up Workshop, we'll roll up our sleeves to envision a temporary animation on one of MacEwan University's parking lots along 105 Ave. The best, most well-supported and feasible ideas will then be implemented as a temporary pop up on Saturday, September 29, 2018, and will help inform the future possibilities of this redeveloping area.
The purpose of doing a pop up is 1: to demonstrate that creating a healthy urban space doesn’t have to take a long time or cost a lot of money, 2: to foster relaxed interaction at a fun, active outdoor event, and 3: to build connections between MacEwan University, landowners, and the broader residential and business communities.
We hope to see you on June 26! Please contact Chelsey at chelsey@situateinc.ca if you have any questions.
